We love our pristine fitness equipment. In fact, almost to the point of feeling a little guilty about it.

anytime fitness whangarei cardio equipmentWe probably shouldn’t feel this way because deep down we know that when you hit the gym it doesn’t matter a jot whether that 20 kg dumbbell is ten years old and showing the signs of age with cracked rubber casing and metal grips that have seen better days.

Twenty kilograms is twenty kilograms, whether you’re pulling at an old piece of equipment or a brand new polycarbonate construction brand name dumbbell that cost us so much money that we’re positively embarrassed to admit we purchased it.

But you know what? There’s something about working out with new equipment that is invigorating. Our staff seem to have that extra bounce in their step after they get through with their latest workout (yes, we take our workouts as seriously as you do).

Maybe it’s the new building. Maybe it’s the new equipment. Who knows for sure.

All we can say for certain is that we are loving the new Anytime Fitness experience, and we can scarcely wait to get to the gym each day to trade in on the sense of well being that we walk away with when a session is over.

Still, we think it’s largely due to being able to train with the new equipment. No clankedy clank. Just that solid-to-the-touch feel of top of the line machines and free weights. There’s something to it.

Secretly, we think our customers feel the same way. But it’s not like we can poll them. “Hey there Joe, you look like you’re positively glowing today. You think maybe it’s all this new gear that’s doing it for you? Noticed the way you seem to linger over the new pin loaded bench press machine.”

No. They’d think we were weird. So when we spot those subtle but detectable looks of satisfaction on the faces of our customers every day here at Anytime Fitness Whangarei, we can only surmise what they are thinking. We’re thinking they’re thinking this is one COOL place to be working out.

Strength Equipment

Remember the good old days when you headed off to the gym to “pump iron”?

Well, you still can. Building bodily strength hasn’t gone out of fashion here at Anytime Fitness and we don’t think it ever will. In fact, working out to build muscle is one of the smartest moves you can make to improve your health and burn fat. Yes, that’s right, the more lean muscle mass you add to your frame (listen up ladies) the more fat your body will burn over the course of every day.

Muscle building is one of the secrets to weight loss that very few people come to grips with. Just remember, you heard it here first (unless you already heard it somewhere else from some other smart fitness cookies like us – in which case we salute them!).

OK, enough about the benefits of strength training.
