1.      What was your professional background prior to opening Anytime Fitness?
 Anytime Fitness has only been open 18 months. There was 20 years of ownership of World of Fitness before that.
Before that I was the Northland area manager for a cosmetics company for 8 years.
2.       How and when did you get involved into the fitness industry?
 Saw a picture of a lean fit looking lady over 30 years ago and was instantly hooked.  Here she is:
3.       What motivated you to get involved into the health & fitness industry?
 My love of training and the desire to be a competitive bodybuilder which led to competing in over 30 contests and the highlight being a NZ title.
I also competed in athletics, triathlons and Olympic Weightlifting
4.       Why the move from World of Fitness to Anytime Fitness?
 To get our lives back, after 20 odd years of being open 90 hours a week, 7 days a week. Anytime offered a more profitable proven franchise with much less staffed hours.
5.       I know that you have helped a lot of people with your books, what is your approach to training and nutrition?
No bs, tell it like it is.
6.       Can you tell us a little more about some of the books you’ve written? What are they about? And where we can get a hold of them?

7.       What motivated you to get into writing?
 It was something I loved to do.  I had been writing health/fitness articles for the local newspaper for more than 15 years so it was just a matter of stepping it up a few levels. I now have over 1400 articles on one article website alone and many of these have been republished on other websites around the world. My website links are on each article so are a means of getting traffic to ones products.
Also I had accumulated so much knowledge going online is a way to have a brand new career that can make money 24/7 so I can travel and operate with just a lap top.
8.       What future do you see for Anytime Fitness?
 It will continue to grow. The fitness industry will keep on growing in general as people come to accept and become more aware that reducing physical activity particularly muscle building and maintaining activity it a recipe for a shortened lifespan.
